Eurydice Southaven Theatre reviews
More musicality would be appreciated
First off, hundreds and hundreds of people absolutely loved the show here in Omaha. That was apparent from the crowd enthusiasm and interaction. I like listening to the use of the bagpipes, the fife (I think that's what it is?), the banjo, and the dedicated vocalist. I hate writing a review where I don't recommend a particular show - so consider this not an indictment, but rather an attempt at making a helpful suggestion. It was a real shame that I could barely hear any of those things at the show. I felt like every song was just like the last one, and that an otherwise talented group of musicians were being drowned in the noise. Basically, the songs I know were barely recognizable over the seemingly sole focus of the show - playing as loud as possible and screaming as loud as possible. I listed to Eurydice on a casual basis, and think they are very talented and unique. This may have been a sound mixing issue, but I'd have liked to be able to actually hear the songs I like.
